10 free tips to enhance your life with these small changes daily to earn more happiness
It's Mid-August now and summer is almost over. Check out our free tips on how to be happy? In yoga, we as yogis and yoginis are often seen as the hedonists in the society. Life itself should feel good and perfect for most of the time. After all, life is so amazingly short and fleeting. It's crucial to stay happy and not let the bad things in life affect/ steal your happiness.
Tip 1: Go volunteering
The truth is that there are many people who are less fortunate than you are in this world. When you go volunteering, you will feel less sorry for the possible setbacks you may be experiencing. Whether you are volunteering at your nearby school as a reading mom, or giving a free yoga class for the prisoners at prisons, or just volunteering for your local SPCA pet adoption/ donation charity, you usually will feel happier after volunteering your time when you realize that others been helped by you. It's never really as bad as it may seem when you still have a roof above your head.Tip 2: Go for a walk
Just walking for 30-35 minutes a day can improve your overall well being and committing to moderate exercise can increase the oxygen level in your body and lower your blood pressure. Get moving and keep your body functioning and maintain yourself in great shape.
Tip 3: Journal and write down your goals and express emotions
It's vital to keep a wellness journal to check in with yourself and write down your goals and the challenges you may be facing. Check in with your soul from time to time and you will discover more about yourself and keep your dreams in check. Sometimes, keeping a personal journal can help relieve some stress and help with your self-healing process whether you are going through a horrible divorce, breakup, or job-loss, medical condition or family crisis situation. Always been proactive and be a problem solver and you will sure feel much better soon as time goes on.
Tip 4: Eat lots of fruits and veggies
Eat clean and wholesome food. Try not to put any food into your mouth if it's not grown from the soil or derived directly from an animal food source. Avoid excess sugar or artificial sweeteners from your soda drinks/ chocolate snack bars/ chewing gums. Sometime you really can become what you eat. Be careful of the kind of food you are putting into your body. Stay away from fast food and red meat/ processed meat. Stay away from food that will damage your body/ internal organs. Your body is a very delicate machine that needs the cleanest fuel to fuel you so you can run your body for a long period of time.
Tip 5: Catch up with some good friends
Sometimes, catching up with a couple of good high school friends or colleagues can be very good for your mental health. Cherish your real friends who will be there through all the highs and lows in life. Be kind to one and another and you will never know when you will need to ask them for help during hard times.
Tip 6: Practice gratitude and meditate
There are many studies that show that meditation is very good for calming your mind. We can't stress how important it is to turn on some good meditation music for at least 10 mins. minimum a day and just lay down in a comfortable position and not stress about things and let all the bad things go. When your mind is healthy, your body will be healthy. When your mind is unhealthy, your body will suffer in many different ways.
Tip 7: Get a yoga class
Anyone who has a healthy, functioning body can possibly do yoga really well. Yoga is for anyone who is interested in enhancing their mind, body, and soul. Sometimes, taking a yin class can be very beneficial for your body. It's always nice to stop at the edge where it's the boundary before it gets uncomfortable and just hold it there for a couple of minutes. Tip 8: Go to bed early
Yes go to bed early and try to wake up early in the morning. Try not to play with your phones/ use your laptop for too long as the blue lights can keep you up at night time. You can try to meditate before you sleep and put on some lavender massage oil on your feet and hands and get in the relax snooze mood. You need at least 8-10 hours of beauty sleep if you don't find those fine lines and wrinkles later on in life.
Tip 9: Exercise in the morning
Always try to exercise in the morning as there are plenty of interesting studies that show that people who complete workouts in early mornings tend to lose more calories than those who workout at night. You can get more reward and yield more results when you exercise in the morning at your best in the morning. Your body is at the best state after you wake up and recharged at night, so seize that time and workout your sexy body in the morning. Stay happy and live a long healthy life.
Tip 10: Try to squeeze out a smile at a stranger
However bad your situation is, it shall improve once you take care of your circumstances with a positive attitude. You need to stay positive and keep smiling no matter what, it's a sign of great confidence. There are researches that show that when you try to squeeze out a smile to a stranger even when you didn't want to, you may slightly feel better as a result. A positive mind can lead to positive things and a negative mind will lead to negative things. You are welcome to choose to bring more happiness and fortune into your life when you smile.

Isn't it nice to have some of that me time after a long long day at work? It's essential to have personal time after a long gruesome day at work. Maybe we you are working at a job you don't really enjoy but needed that job to make ends meet. Sometimes, you just need that personal meditation time to really reset so you can meet the next day with a full night of sleep and think for solutions.
Tip 1: Make a warm cup of herbal tea
Get a fancy silk tea bags. Drink up some organic green tea or calming chamomile tea tonight and relax for your couch while watching your latest TV shows. Tip 2: Relax with a warm foot bath

Tip 3: Get a home yin yoga class
Are you into stretching or yoga in general? There has been tons of research that prove that gentle stretching exercises can help prolong one's life. Yin yoga is so essential for your overall well-being. Just go on Youtube and find out what kind of free yin classes are out there on the internet and get some bolsters/ pillows from your coach/ sofa and start your yin classes.
Switch on your essential oil diffusers and put on your favorite lavender oil to calm down your senses. Of course it would always be best if you can get a couple of yoga blocks, or yoga straps to help further stretch out your muscles and detox your body. You will have a much better night of sleep after your body is calm and relaxed.
Tip 4: Journal
Write down your thoughts and feeling on your journal. Some people prefer the traditional pen and paper journal. Some people prefer a hidden version of a WordPress to write/ type out all their goals and feelings. It's crucial to reset and lay out all your goals, issues, and ambitions on a blank piece of paper. It's your internal dialogue/ meeting dialogue for yourself to sort out all your problems. Whether it's a relationship/ marriage problem, or a work related problem, or a serious health issue/ family crisis you are dealing with. Where there's a will, there's a way.
It's all about keeping a positive attitude and there's a solution to every single problem out there. Journaling is cheaper than that US$170-250/ 50 min. session that most psychotherapists charge you and those therapists will never know you as much as you know yourself and most therapists out that are really just out there to give out services to make a living. If you are a more private person and not want to overshare to some stranger who may or may not really care about you, you might want to start journaling first before spending money that you may or may not have on those possibly embarrassing unfruitful therapy sessions.
Tip 5: Get a pet or a plant to take care of
Get a pet. Yes, we mean a real pet or a houseplant. Get a houseplant and get your hands dirty in your garden and start a new hobby in gardening. There's so much health benefits onto just being in nature and get into a habit of gardening and breathing in all that oxygen in your backyard. Maybe you can start a small vegetable garden in your backyard this summer? Or maybe you love flowers, and you can start growing those attractive large sunflowers on your front porch this summer and improve your curb appeal? At night time, you can make sure you don't forget to turn on your irrigation system for your plants in your yard.
Or are you an animal lover? Do you want a dog or a cat? Go plan to visit your local animal shelter and see what dog/ cat need help this summer? Spread some love and maybe you can also plan to volunteer your time at your local SPCA local animal shelter and serve animals who need special love and attention this summer? Mind Body and Health is key to a healthy and happy life.
Everything comes from the mind and a lot of physical illness can stem from an unhealthy mind, such as depression, anxiety, and anger mismanagement when you are not able to handle what life throws at you. There are so much ups and downs in life and life can be so cruel that it can raise you up in one second and then throw you back down to when you will/ may lose everything. It's not that important what happened to you in life, but it's more important how you react you react to failure/ struggles. Accept the challenge and treat yourself well this summer. Treat yourself and your family to a nice vacation and refresh your life with good energies and happiness. Life is all about balance and don't overwork yourself and stress about bills and deadlines this summer too much.
Tip 1: Grab a friend this summer and go on a yoga retreat together. Do complete two yoga classes a day and enjoy a simple vegan lunch and breath in some fresh air on an exotic tropical island.

Take care of your health today and so you don't need to take drugs to control or treat diseases later in life. Prevention is always better than cure.
Tip 2: Take a deep breath in and out
Make your bed daily and meditate while breathing in and out can help calm down your senses and feel less stressed out. Practice meditation daily. Lately, we discovered an app called "Insight Timer" and they got a lot of free and paid meditations that are really healing and promotes a restful sleep. Tip 3: Get a restful sleep
Make your bed daily and meditate while breathing in and out can help calm down your senses and feel less stressed out. Play some meditative restful music that promotes your overall wellness and peaceful sleep tonight. Drink a cup of green tea the next morning and you will feel much more energized the next day. Sleep early and rise early every day.
Tip 4: Drink a green smoothie every day
Drink enough water and stay hydrated. Get a green smoothie and get all the green nutrient rich fiber into your body and get a great detox after an intense workout session with your husband/ wife/ workout buddy this season. Juicing can help as well and getting a spinach cream soup daily can also get the nutrients you need daily. It's what you put into your body that is essential for your health. Get a smoothie machine and get into the habit of eating healthy daily.

There are many medical research that shows that kale and spinach may have anti-cancer causing agents that can help prevent cancer cells from further developing. It's what you do every day that determines your destiny. Live and eat as healthy as you can daily. (Always consult your doctors/ healthcare practitioners before drinking or eating any food. These are just general suggestions for normal healthy individuals who do not suffer from any major illnesses.)

Next comes the beet juice/ beet smoothie...for those who need to enrich red blood cells and improves their blood circulations.

Tip 5: Get enough moderate exercise daily
Always get out the house, go for a run or just simply walk your dog daily can drastically improve your every day health and well being. Join a group class and enjoy an intense/ moderate workout with a group of fitness friends at the gym/ yoga studio. We are all social beings and we need to foster a social connection with the people around us to feel accepted, loved and supported.
Get some cardio and more oxygen flowing into your body and get your body moving today. It's important to find a type of workout that your body enjoy. There are two types of people. There are people who love cardio and weightlifting and there are people who are more about flexibility. Most men enjoy cardio and weightlifting and most women are better at being flexible. Therefore, some people enjoy going to the gym and some people enjoy going to their fitness classes such as yoga, barre, ballet, dances, and pilates.
Tip 6: Laugh for 10 minutes daily
Laughter is so important for our well being. Relax your eyebrows between the middle of your eyes and try not to be so reactive to all the negative energies in your surroundings. Try to relax and not take things so seriously or personally. Don't get mad so easily. Just chill and mellow out at hard times and then figure out the next steps. Laughter has proved to release stress and happy people tend to get sick less often.
There's also been studies that show that cancer patients who are optimistic in life and laugh at least 10 minutes a day can increase their chances for survival. Even when you can't laugh out loud, try squeezing out a fake smile and that can help improve your overall well being as well. Maybe that fake forced smile can somehow become a real smile after all? Why treat yourself so seriously?
Speaking of laughter, it has got to be big funny laughs, wide open jaw-dropping laughter is the best in laugh. Also see the silver-lining in life. If you get sick, you can find your healing by finding the right treatments with a positive attitude. Accept the challenge and accept what you can or cannot change in life and do work on what you can work on instead of drowning yourself in deep negative thoughts that are bad for you. If you lose a job, go get another one that's more worth your time. Life is all about balance and trial and error. It's okay when you fail, just learn from your lessons and not repeat those mistakes again. Life is all about energies. When we project good positive energies out to the world, good fortune comes back at you usually and vice versa.
