I know, it's hard to stay home all day long. There's a surge in the demand for online painting classes for those who are trying to learn a new hobby. Tip 1
Get the right kind of watercolor paper.

Tip 2
Buy the right kind of watercolor brushes.
Watercolor brushes can be very expensive but very well worth the investments. The watercolor brushes typically have different flat or pointy tips on top. Carefully choose your brushes and create the texture you like. Remember not to buy the wrong type of brushes for watercolor as brushes for oil paint, and watercolor/ acrylic paints are completely different.

Tip 3
Get proper set up for the lighting.
Make sure you are painting in a well lit place so you can control the outcomes of your paintings better. Your work space should be bright by the window and clutter-free so you can create more high quality art work.
Tip 4
Find something you love to draw.
Start small and find an object of interest around the house. It can be a green apple or orange in your house or a picture of a landscape that you really love. If you are passionate about what you draw, your final drawing will usually turn out better as you will put more attention and effort on to it.
Tip 5
Get outdoors and go on a sketching trip.
Go hiking or find a quiet place in nature where you can set up your sketching tools and do some abstract watercolor paintings. Why not get some fresh air if you can and sit down and sketch out the beautiful world that we live in? Find a nice hiking trail that go to and sit down by the bench and create some life drawings.
Tip 6
Be Patient.
Timing is everything. Watercolor takes time to dry and you can layer multiple times until you are satisfied with the outcome. Don't rush through the painting and be reckless if you like to create more quality work or any detailed drawings. Don't compare your work to others. You are growing at your own pace. Shift your attention back to perfecting your own work. Enjoy the creative process and your skills will grow and evolve over time.
Tip 7
Draw with self-control.
Control the weight you are holding onto your brush. The angle of the brush can create different brush strokes and textures for your paintings. Don't forget to sketch out our ideas first with these color pencils before you start a detailed watercolor painting.

Get some paper towels.
Use a paper towel to soak up the excess paint and it can be a life saver to fix your small silly mistakes. Don't make a mess and always have a couple of paper towels handy to save your paintings. Tip 9
Research on art tutorials.

Find the right art teacher.
Find the right art tutor. Attend some local fun art workshops or art jams in your local area.
